Yes, 20i does support the registration, or transfer of .ac.uk domain names!

What is an ac.uk domain?

An ac.uk domain is a specific type of domain name used in the United Kingdom, specifically for academic institutions such as universities, colleges and research institutions. These domains require specific requirements which means we do not provide pricing on our main website, and they cannot be ordered through the standard means.

How much do they cost?

.ac.uk domain names cost £25.00 for the transfer into 20i, or, if you're registering, £100.00 for a one year registration/renewal.

What are these specific requirements?

Janet/Jisc, the body in charge of .ac.uk domains, will require you or your client's organisation to meet their eligibility requirements which are outlined here: https://community.jisc.ac.uk/library/janet-services-documentation/eligibility-policy

Once the aforementioned has been filled in, a further requirement is that you or the school need to provide us with scanned headed paper declaring that this is okay to do. Simply attach the header paper to us in the support ticket, at which point our support team will attach a custom work order to your support ticket, and all of the aforementioned information will be sent off to Janet/Jisc.

If you're unsure of anything, please get in touch via the support ticket and our support team will be able to assist you with this.
